E IKE HOU IA LANAI—TO KNOW LANAI ONCE AGAIN: A HISTORICAL REFERENCE AND GUIDE TO THE ISLAND OF LANAI

Keahiakawelo–
Ka Lama o Lana‘i

This 104 page soft cover publication, brings native Hawaiian language accounts, oral historical recollections, and eye-witness accounts of Lanai and its people together—many translated into English—for the first time.

Publication of E Ike Hou Ia Lanai was made possible by generous donations from the John and Helen B. Jarman Foundation (in memory of Pastor Nohea Kuhia) and Hoopaa i ka Naauao. The narratives are meant to re-familiarize residents with facets of Lanai’s history and storied places, and serve as an authoritative guide to those who are visiting Lanai.

E Ike Hou Ia Lanai is available for sale at the Lanai Culture & Heritage Center for $12.00 per copy. Arrangements for purchase may also be made with shipping and handling costs, for those interested in exploring Lana’i’s history.
